I am not sure where you live but if you are able to travel to the east coast there are a number of excellent historical places to visit. The interest in the topic can only increase after seeing sites such as Bunker Hill, Independence Hall, the Paul Revere House, the Old North Church where the lantern was displayed to indicate how the British would be traveling to Concord via Lexington, you can see the Liberty Bell with it's famous crack, and it might be good to have a look at this video which is sure to add some emotional attachment to his interest.

For all of the historical sites I suggest using the guides that are typically available on site. They provide a good service and give context and meaning to what you are viewing.

Best wishes,
Joseph Logan

If you have Netflex then there is a cartoon call Liberty Kids that is on streaming. Depending on the age of your son then he may like to watch that and then want to learn more.
