How so? Are you referring to the French and Indian war and the debt and taxes that came after it or do you mean something else? The declaration of independence does mention the British government's habit of stirring up conflicts with the Indians as one of the colonist's complaints against King George:
"He has excited domestic insurrections amongst us, and has endeavoured to bring on the inhabitants of our frontiers, the merciless Indian Savages whose known rule of warfare, is an undistinguished destruction of all ages, sexes and conditions."
